I've had the drive for a little over a year now but haven't used it in awhile. When I tried it today, the converter works (white light) but doesn't mount the drive once it's attached. Any thoughts?

I'd very much like to help you get this resolved, but I'm not clear on what specifically you're referring to when you mention the "converter". Is it the power adapter or something else? Please clarify for me, thank you.

No problem. The base of the enclosure has a small dock that both powers the drive and (I'm assuming based on what it looks like) converts the signal from SATA to USB 3. As long as the enclosure isn't docked, there is a white light on the dock. As soon as I plug it in, the light goes out and the drive doesn't spin up. I'm scared I'm going to have to end up removing the drive from the enclosure (something I had to do a few months back with a drive that had a failing power supply), but if there's a solution that doesn't require that, I would (obviously) prefer it.

Thank you for the information. Basing this on what you shared with me, I'll assume that the drive is currently connected via USB3.0? If that's the case, try it on a USB2.0 port to see if it responds then.
Should it still be unavailable, update the USB2.0 drivers to see if things change:
Let me know how it works out.

The drive base could be defective. For detailed troubleshooting and to establish if this is the case, I'd recommend speaking directly to our technical support at this point:
