I had the same thing and my IT guy did a manual back up for us but we are in the same position. It will not let us load any version from the internet to update it and we are locked out also. Very frustrated with this since it is only a few months old and we can't use it.

I got suckered into the Premium plan looking for how to change the back-up I completed. How do I get rid of the premium plan and then change the back-up (I don't want to use the encryopted feature, so I want to delete all of the backed-up files and do the back-up again). When I kept serching the knowledge base it directed me to the premium choice and then installed it and now I am stuck.

Can anyone help me get rid of Memeo rubbish.
I cannot believe i bought this drive and then they expect me to pay more and now i am wasting valuable time cos i cant back up my computer.

As I resurrect this old thread.
I have the same problem.
I downloaded and installed Mimeo and Seagate Dashboard.
Naturally Mimeo says 30 day trial.
It asks for a product key.
It says if I register an online account I can redownload my product key.
I did that, but in my mimeo online account I don't find the product key to download.
This seems to be the problem all these people are having with the Seagate GoFlex products and mimeo backup.
How can I download the product key for mimeo standard so it will no longer be a 30 day trial?

I think the problem with mimeo instant backup being a trial is you do need the product key, which is supposed to be downloadable after you create an account.

I read that but I haven't tried it yet.
On mimeo instant backup startup it says "28 days remaining"
and "enter product key"
As I mentioned it says if I register for an online account I can DL that product key.
Is that not correct?
Since the mimeo site says I can DL the product key I expect that to either be true or to be resolved.
When will this conflict be resolved? I am not talking about anything having to do with software or with trials or activations.
Just that the site says one thing and I can't do it.

What can actually contribute to this issue is an outdated USB driver. It would be really good to update this according to the information that's provided here:
Also make sure to uninstall all Memeo products, then reinstall but only install the Instant Backup. You should not be prompted at all for a license.
Let me know what happens.
