This should be simple, and yet either I'm dumb or the Seagate Manager interface is badly designed (I'm thinking both).
I have about 250GB of data on my nearly-full laptop harddrive. I've backed up completely - once - onto the FreeAgent, and for subsequent backups I just want it to update files I've changed since the prior backup and add any new files created since then. I can't tell whether Backup or Sync is the better bet to do this simple thing.
Right now (as i write) I'm sync'ing - it seems like this should be the way to go. But man, it's slow. And it seems to be running gradually through every file on my hard drive. I chose sync'ing after starting a Backup and seeing that that, too, seemed to involve slowly sifting through every file.
What should I be doing?
