Hi, I made a Windows image backup of my Dell XPS computer. Now I want to restore the computer from the image (not just copy over the individual files). Only problem is that to make an image restore, one must boot up in repair mode (e.g., booting from a repair utility partition, or from an external repair/Windows disk). But without booting up from normal Windows, it's impossible for the computer to recognize the drive. Does anyone know how to get the computer to recognize a Seagate GoFlex drive while in repair mode? Logically, it seems as if there ought to be some sort of program that one could put on one's computer, and then when in repair mode go into the command line to get it to work. Surely there must be a way, otherwise, image backups on Seagate GoFlex drives aren't any better than just doing a file backup.

Nevermind. The answer is to plug it into the port all the way on the right. The other ports don't work in repair mode.
