Cord Warranty?

So I'm fairly positive that the cord for my 1Tb FreeAgent GoFlex is faulty. The drive worked for a few months and then out of the blue was no longer being recognized. There is no obvious external ware or damage to the cord, but when tested with another GoFlex drive, the second drive had similar problems (also wasn't recognized by the computer).  This second test drive was shown to work with another cord.

Is there a warranty for the cord? My warranty for the drive (checked P/N and S/N via website) is good for another year.

Re: Cord Warranty?

My drve has been doing all sorts of crazy things as of late, intermitantly connecting and disconnecting, not being recognized by my Windows 7 machine, and then the next day being recognized but only for a short time. Being recognized by my XP machine, but only if i restart the computer...weird ,strang things like this. I believe i found a solution, or rather the problem, here: http://forums.seagate.com/t5/GoFlex-GoFlex-Desk-GoFlex-Pro/GoFlex-Desk-1TB-USB-3-0-cable-replacement...

I plan to buy a 3rd party USB 3.0 cable to see if that fixes the issue. Hope this helps people whose drive are going crazy as mine was.
