Drive is asking to be formatted, worked fine previously

My FA GoFlex 2T drive was working fine on my laptop but now my computer is teling me the drive needs t be formatted.  It used to show up as  SeagateGoFlex on Drive G: but now it only shows up as Drive G:, no GoFlex.  I have about 500GB of very important photos on this drive so I am hopng there is a solution?

 

I have made no changes to my computer.  perating system is Windows Vista 64bit
