Drive is seemingly erasing my files?

I have the GoFlex 1TB and my computer is a MacBook Air, brand new. My drive has been working fine up until just now - I went to shift some files around for organizational reasons and it gave me an error message saying something about that it could not move the file because there was a file name already in use, but the name it said was used was just the quote symbol ( " ) which makes no sense - worse than that, the file I was moving disappeared! I searched through the drive and I've tried ejecting and reinserting it but the file is still missing. I'm at a complete loss and I'm worried I'll just keep losing more files. Any ideas?

Re: Drive is seemingly erasing my files?

What's the drive's part or model number? Also let me know what software was used to move the file and what type of file was being transferred. Thanks.
