Freeagent Goflex 2TB USB3.0/2.0 HDD works on one Macbook pro but not the other?

Hi Guys,

 

I have the Freeagent Goflex 2TB HDD.  It works on my girlfriends early 2011 Macbook pro.  However on my mid 2012 Macbook pro it shows up as read only.  I do not have the installer on the hard drive but downloaded this from the website. 

 

After loading the drivers the hard drive is still picked up as read only.  I have tried re-install and doing everything I can think of but it will not pick it up, but it does on the other Macbook pro which is older.

 

Any ideas?
