What's the difference between the 'External Storage' Folder and the other folders???

Are you talking about the Goflex Home (Network Attached Storage)?

The External Storage for that refers to an additional storage device (hard drive or flash drive) connected to the USB port.

For the sake of your own health and sanity, if your data is important to you, keep a second copy on another storage (a backup)

Yes it's a 2TB storage unit for Mac & PC.  I use one of each.

 

Ahhh I see.  Just plugged in a mem stick & it pops up there.
