I will add that the light is on on the portable drive but in no way can i connect to it or see it! and when i go through all the paragon thing it wont let me progress as the button is greyed out??????? please someone must know!!

Hello,
Usually that means that something is blocking the Paragon driver from activating. It does need to connect to the Internet after you reboot the Mac in order for the Paragon driver to activate. You may try disabling any firewall or antivirus while you try to install the driver. If that does not work please let us know.
Thank you very much.

Hello mate
thank you for your reply! i have unfortunately tried this and it didnt work! i really cant understand why it has to be this hard to use a portable drive and use different software to activate it?!?! and disabaling my firewall to setup a drive seems a very odd thing todo. either way right now im willing to try anything so please anything else send it my way!!!
Thanks again

Would i be able to plug this into a windows machine and just format it like normal then use it on the MBP??

You should be able to format the drive from a Windows machine in Windows Disk Management. Let me know if that works, if not we will go from there.
