Tired of the power down/sleep issues with this thing, I decided to remove the 3TB drive from the GoFlex case.
I then installed it in my WIndows 7 x64 system. Windows sees the drive, shows it has THREE partitions (it only has ONE exFAT partition when in the USB case), and the first one shows RAW and the other two are unused.
I popped it back on the USB 3.0 interface and plugged it back in, and voila! All my stuff is there on ONE partition.
So, is the USB 3.0 adapter doing something to the contents whereby Windows cannot make heads or tails of the contents when it's just plugged into a SATA port?
I have lots of data on there, and I just want it accessible via an internal SATA drive.
Thanks.

I am having the same exact issue. Have you managed to get this external connected via SATA with all your data intact?

No, I read elsewhere of the issue and wound up cloning my data to another drive via USB 3.0 then formatting the 3TB drive, and cloning my data back. Now, it works fine. But I was not able to get Windows to see the drive properly via SATA and my data intact.

Also do not work when I use the THunderbolt Go flex adaptor,
When I format the drive via thunderbolt with exFAT , the Mac report error when I connect via USB3, the drive content cannot be seen. and vice versa
IF the drive is formated in USB3 content can be read in PC but when formated in TBolt cannot be read??
