I have a 2009 iMac with OS 10.7.4. Have been using Ultra-Portable Seagate GoFlex (pn:9zf2a5-500) for TM without a problem (except for periodic "NTSF for Mac OSX Activation" pop-up windows that only allow me to "Activate Later"), formated Extended(Journaled), for about 3 months. Now the Mac automatically ejects it after about 2 minutes and gives a red flag warning to properly eject it next time. I tried running disk utility to repair but after a few minutes it stopped and said I had to reformat it. Tried to erase and start all over to start a new TM backup, but either got another auto-eject or notice that the disk would not unmount. What can I do start over? Thanks.
