GoFlexPro 500GB w/usb 3.0 not working on external usb hub

I bought the GoFlexPro 500GB usb2.0.  And the USB 3.0 adapter.  I have a USB 3.0 hub from SIIG.  3xusb 3.0 and 4xUSB 2.0 ports on the powered hub.  The drive works on the USB 3.0 ports but only works on ONE usb 2.0 port with the USB 3.0 cable.  But if I use the stock USB 2.0 cable adapter, it works on ALL ports.  Is it a problem with the USB 3.0 adapter?
