Firstly ist quite bit of hit and  miss for my pc to see the goflex . But every now and again they do connect . Unfortunately after all that it will disappear. It takes for every to firstly see it and then without fail it just goes without saying. Its driving me insane.

Can anyone help.

Make sure they are in the same workgroup.

Also best if UPnP is enabled on your router

You can always get in back with \\goflex_home\ in file explorer

Edit: oops, the above tips are for Goflex Home, but I just realised this is the Goflex desk etc section.

Were you talking about USB connected drive? If so, check cable and drive power settings - disable "allow computer to turn of this device to save power" in device manager, properties, USB controllers Power management

Don't quite follow what your saying but the hard drive is connected directly to the router. The PC is connected via wifi and the printer is physically connected. Like I said it pairs up eventually but then disappears.
