@sebehk - Thanks for the clear instructions. I'd read elsewhere it was possible to load the installer for diagnostics and show the files that would be installed and their install locations - which is true - but your instructions were easier on the eye ![]()

you can also run the installer (link below), choose "custom install", uncheck the box for software to be installed, and check the "uninstall" box.

Robert, I cannot thank you enough for your post.
I had gotten 3 of the 4 files you listed but the last one, Seagate Storage Driver.kext was still working it's evil. This problem has not only cost me much time and heartache but several hundred dollars. I concur with the statement of shame on Seagate for such sloppy software. Their drives have worked for me in the past, that's why I remained a customer.
I am very grateful for folks like you who take the time to help those of us in dire situations. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

Robert,
Thanks for this post. I think it is exactly what I need to do to get rid of this disruptive software, but I am unable to delete the first 2 things. (I haven't tried the others yet.)
I got the following message: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
I am the administrator for the computer. I have tried to delete the files both with and without the Seagate running and connected.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
John

Agh. I tried to add the Seagate to the privacy settings but.... accessing the drive that way seems to make it hang. gosh this thing is awful.
