Multiple internal drives: d: not recognized

Hello, I just bought a Freeagent Goflex ultra portable and installed the free (non-pro) Dashboard software on my Windows 7 PC.

Installation went well, but Dashboard does not recognize my internal D: drive, which is where I keep most of the data I want to back up.

Can someone tell me how to make Memeo Instant Backup sense my D: drive? Under Advanced Options/ Items Selected for Backup, I see only C: Drive. The icon on top of the display "Drag and drop folders or drives here" is grayed out.

Re: Multiple internal drives: d: not recognized

Hello,

When you open the backup software and go to the advanced option window, go to your Windows start menu. Double click the Windows Computer icon. With that open, drag your other drive from that window to the advanced window of the backup software. That will add that drive to the backup.

Let us know if that works for you.

Re: Multiple internal drives: d: not recognized

Thanks for the quick reply!

FYI, I was at first unable to drag the D: drive over to the Memeo Advanced Options window.  It turned into the universal "can't do it" icon: a crossed out O.

But after rebooting, the Advanced Options screen was updatable and It's working fine now. Problem solved.

Many thanks!

Re: Multiple internal drives: d: not recognized

I was having exactly the same problem and had almost accepted that I would have to move my data :smileysad: but I tried this and it worked exactly as described on Windows 7 thanks for the assistance:smileyvery-happy:
