GoFlex, GoFlex Desk, GoFlex Pro, GoFlex Slim, & GoFlex Turbo

I bought a 3TB GoFlex this drive for backup because of good past experiences with Seagate backup USB drives and the free software. My last 2 purchases that came with Memeo instead of Seagate Manager are a HUGE disappointment. That backup software is worthless except for the most basic and risky backup, where you have no idea what is being backed up and what is NOT being backed up. The free version does not give you the ability to view or edit the contents of your backup. You must buy the paid version, and quite honestly, I am unimpressed enough with Memeo that I WOULD NOT WANT THEIR PAID PRODUCT.

What was wrong with Seagate Manager guys? Memeo really sucks and it makes Seagate look bad.

I say get rid of it and give us some decent backup software like Seagate Manager.

I am very disappointed. Anybody agree? Tell Seagate. I wish there was some way to give them direct feedback. Maybe they are not interested.

I am on a Mac and have had terrible experiences with this drive. It stops writting files for no reason (reading seems ok) sleep whenever (including when writing large files) and has to be unpluged to restart. Submitte a support ticket and never heard back. Luckly I bought this from Best Buy and will return once a WD drive arrives so I can transfer my files.
