I have just sent a private message to @AskTheLeaf with details of my drive and hope you can send revised firmware to me.
For the information of others, for a marginally better temporary solution:
I found it much easier just to switch the power to the drive off for a few seconds, and then back on, instead of unplugging the USB3 cable and plugging it back in. Win7 then soon recognizes the drive. That's less likely to cause stress in the socket which I guess was not designed for daily plugging and unplugging.

I'll be out this upcoming week but AlanM can provide you the download if you need it. Just be sure to send him the requested info via private message, your drive's serial number and physical mailing address.
See you all in a week

Where do I find the serial number of my drive?
I have it hooked up to a Windows 8 machine and the dashboard does not work so I cannot check there. Is it on the drive somewhere?
I have the power issue and would like the new firmware.
Brandon
****EDIT**** Never mind I found it on the back of the drive.

Does anyone have the firmware download? I sent a message to Alan a couple days ago and have heard nothing back. I need to get my drive working.
Thank you
Brandon

I think I'm dealing with the same issue, although in Win8. I've been trying to find a solution for my drive (1TB) consistently not starting after a reboot in Win8 on USB 3.0. I've tried the MS ASMedia drivers in Win8 and the ASMedia specific drivers, not sure of the version at the moment, I'm thinking 1.16.somthing for Win8 64. Worked fine under under Win7. Unplugging then replugging it in works. Sometimes the drive totally blogs down all IO to all my drives when it is running. Once I unplug the drive, all sluggishness in File Explorer is gone. I can then plug the drive back in and all is fine. Could this be a ASMedia controller issue? I've updated my motherboard BIOS and the ASMedia controller to the latest versions. The only other FW needing an update is the GoFlex drive.
If there is a new FW available that will fix this then please throw it my way also. It should honestly be available to the public for download. Could have saved me a ton of time on this problem, if it does indeed work.
EDIT: My drive's FW is 0D.1.8.

Yep same issue here. I just emailed a PM to the moderator requesting the fw update. I suppose the updated fw is still in beta or something since it's not available publicly?

Just a little friendly bump. Any word on if a FW is available that corrects this issue?

Please send me a private message here with your drive's serial number and your physical mailing address for verification so that I can respond with the update information. Thank you.
