Streaming audio issue

I bought my 1.5 TB GoFlex to stream my large volume of .flac music files.

The size is great, and I am happy it all fits in one place, but it isn't working like it should. Every couple of minutes (seems to be completely randome), the stream is cut for just a couple seconds.

I have never had this problem with other HDDs, just this one.

What can be done to fix this, how do I go about getting error logs for this problem?

Re: Streaming audio issue

In order to get to the bottom of this, I'd like some more information.

What specific GoFlex model do you have?

Have you updated your USB drivers? And have you attached the drive to another data cable and port?

Give a hoot. Backup your data on a second storage media.

Re: Streaming audio issue

The light on the physical drive turns off when that happens, if that helps.

(would love a reply!)

Re: Streaming audio issue

No need to worry.

I will be returning my non-functional Seagate HDD tomorrow, in exchange for one which offers better technincal support.
