Unable to delete files and folders

I have aGoFlex 500GB. When I try to delete some of the folders, I cannot do so because the system says that the folders are corrupted. How do I delete the folders?

So that I can help you delete your data, please let me know your drive's part or model number, which operating system and if this happens when you connect the drive to another computer.

Have you tried running CHKDSK on the drive?

Last night, when I plugged my GoFlex Satellite back into my Windows 7 pc, a message box came up asking if I wanted to scan and repair any problems with my disk. So, I chose to do so and, sure enough, the problems went away. Maybe it was doing a chkdsk as you had suggested behind the scenes. Anyway, thanks for your help!
