Where is the User Guide?

I have some specific questions that aren't answered by the 12-page Quick Start Guide.  Where can I find a User Guide?

Re: Where is the User Guide?

I have the FreeAgent GoFlex Desk.  I've found similar goflex units here.  Is it possible that my 2TB unit with Replica software is similar to one of these so that I can download the user guide for a similar unit?

Re: Where is the User Guide?

Thanks.  I was (maybe still am) confused about which parts of my Seagate backup system are hardware and which are software.  Apparently the software is integrated with the hardware.  I have the 12-page quick-start guide that came with the hardware and have access to the more comprehensive on-line help files.  And the Replica documentation that you refer to is for a unit that is not similar to the one that I have.

Now at least I'm aware that there is no comprehensive PDF or other written documentation that I can highlight and file away for future use.  I'll use the hyperlinked help files and the replica documentation for the dissimilar hardware and print what I need for my reference files.

Thanks for the clarification.

Happy to help.

The Replica documentation, while not identical, should be close enough to help you get the info you need.

Re: Where is the User Guide?

Those that are replying surely know that hardware as sophisticated as the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk should have a user guide made specifically for it.  The two page QuickStart Guide that came with my drive made no mention of the lights or how to control the powering on at Windows boot, and many, many other issues.  If Seagate does not think the GoFlex Desk is significant enough to provide a User Guide, so be it.  But, a user guide for an entirely different product should not be offered.

I, too, would like to have a User Guide, written explicitly for the GoFlex Desk.  I already have a user guide for my cell phone, but it is of no help on this drive.
