Cannot view movies from Seagate Share website

Just curious to see if anyone else is having issues viewing their shared movies while accessing the SeagateSahre site away from home?  I am able to log in just fine and see all of the contents in my shares but when I try to view a Movie I get a pop up saying that the movie is an unsupported format and that it might not play correctly. I have tried viewing  MP4, AVI, WMV to no avail, they all say the same thing.  I have tried 3 different laptops, One with Windows 7, XP and Vista and get the same message on all 3. When Im home I can view the shares from my wireless network and can launch movies just fine. In fact I have the Flex TV at home and it works like a champ.   I have tried to find an answer to this issue in the internet but I keep getting refered back to the GOFlex Home manual.  Any Ideas on what might be going on???? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same exact problem and also cannot find an answer. In addition, the mobile apps cannot play movies either.

Re: Cannot view movies from Seagate Share website

Gee, I ve never tried to share a moview before.

Actually I did but it was with FTP. I connected with FTP and downloaded a movie.

Why do you you want your movie collection shareable across the internet? What is your uplaod speed? I would think that your uplaod speed would not support live streaming of the movie.

Either way,

I could try to see if my flaex player will play the movies with my iphone over 3g. Ill get back to you.

Re: Cannot view movies from Seagate Share website

Hi, Seagate is using flash with Seagateshare. I did the test and here's the result. I had the same problem and I installed Photon browser, enable the flash option at the seagateshare login page and I was able to view a .m4v file from the internet onto my GoFlex home drive at home. I needed to set up the bandwidth at 6 and activate the "alternate port" in the setting of Photon to make it work. Hope that in a new release of Seagateshare that this problem will be fix... Good luck
