We got the go flex home 1 TB unit last year. One person has done the setup and has backed things up from his computer. The only account that exists is his own as we figured we would just use the same one. He simply created folders with our names to divide up anything we want to keep specific to our machines, but we like to share lots of files, too. Now, I'd like to start connecting to the go flex from my computer, so I installed the software on my computer and logged in with the one account that's on there. Right after the dashboard opened, some Memeo Instant Backup thing popped up. Not sure what that's wanting to do, so I did not make any selections there since it seems to simply be showing a summary of what the first user has already put on the drive. I just want to see what is on the drive and add some stuff of my own.
What consequences are there to using the same account to access the unit from different computers? If it isn't an issue, that's how we'd like to do it, but before I start using it, I want to make sure we're not screwing anything up by sharing accounts. We generally do manual copying of files we want to backup to the drive.
Looking forward to hearing any experiences from anyone else who may use the same login to the drive using different computers.
