Hi Folks,
I am trying to install Seagate Dashboard on a new Windows 7 PC. As far as I can tell, the setup goes through to completion however the dashboard app fails to launch. I can even see Seagate dashboard running in the system tray. However I am not able to get the dashboard app to launch. What could be causing the problem?
More info:
- Tried disabling windows firewall completely
- Have another windows XP laptop successfully setup to backup to the 1TB goflex home. The dashboard app works just fine in the XP laptop.
Please help!

Anyone?
For some reason MemeoLauncher.exe will not load on my Windows 7 PC. Just to get it out of the way - I am logged in as an administrator and have tried things like running it in WinXP compatibility mode.
This is preventing me from using seagate dashboard.
Any insights you have greatly appreciated!!

I am having a similar problem but my computer runs XP, I just bought me a 2TB Free Agent Go Flex Home, set it up, installed the software on the CD but am unable to launch the dashboard so I can't complete the set up.
What can I do, help a brother out!

I had mine working with windows 7 professional. All of a sudden the backup software began to reinstall itself. When I attemped to install from the CD I got the message that the version on the HD was newer than the CD version and the installer quit. I uninstalled both the dashboard and the backup software and now nothing will install. It gets so far and says "Preparing to install" and juist hangs.
I have rebooted, and attempted to reinstall no luck. I have emailed segate and still no responce although I got a survey asking me if I was happy with their service. I have tried turning off my antivirus and firewall, no help. I have turned off all software running in the background still no help. I have an XP computer which still has the software running which works fine. I am wondering if this is a windows 7 thing with the windows installer.
Still no word from Seagate.

Just got this new desktop, and was having lots of problems with it, after I plugged in the GoFlex external hard drive I got for backups. It was suggested that I pull up MSCONFIG, and disable everything that wasn't windows, and see if the computer would still lockup. It didn't. So, I started enabling the other items one at a time.
Guess what?
It was the seagate dashboard that was locking me up. So, I have disabled that feature until I can find out why.
Desktop works just fine now.

I have the same problem ... however ... i did get the Dashboard to install/launch on one Win7 notebook but not another ? Both are Asus notebooks.
Actully the Dashboard installed/launched on the less powerful of the two (though both are nicely equipped).
On the notebook that won't install/launch the Dashoard I can get to the GoFlex Home device through a browser and set up the Users, Shares, etc ... and can manully map the Shares to drive letters through the browser.
I sent Seagate support and email ...
Setup problems and glitches are to be expected, however poor support from a company like Seagate is disappointing ...
Any suggetstion ?
