I just bought the 2tb GoFlex Home.
My setup is two computers w/ Win7 wirelessly connected to my U-verse (internet gateway). I have my BluRay player and Sony TV connected to the internet. When I plug in my USB drive individually to the TV and computers, they can see it as a drive and display the photos and play the music.
I haven't set it up yet, however the posts leave me with some questions:
My desire is to have a joint space that I can enable for back up of files from the computers as well as share music, documents and photos, etc. Sort of like a shared drive where all (computers and TV) can look to for the folders/files. Did I purchase the right thing?
Although the wireless protection (WEP) is used, given that I am pluging this into an internet gateway, are my files on the GFH protected from attacks and intrusion from the internet?
Thanks,
Fred

Hi,
Not sure if this helps.
I have shared photos with view only access, same with video in a separte folder.
My backups are in another laoction that no other pc has access to on the network (unless they use my password)
To gain access to even the public folder from the internet, you need to know the name of the device, user name & password.
If you are refering to a brute force attack, I have no idea.
