The GO Flex Access app does not show up in Google Play for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, running Abdriod 4.0 ICS, when I access my account over the web from PC, it says it is not compatable.
How can I fource the install or as you put it, install as third party app?
Sorry new to andriod!

I have tried to search for the apk files for both Hipserve and GoFlex Access, I keep getting redirected to the android market/google play store for download. That site only wants to install on my Casio phone and will not allow install on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
Any Idea where I can get the apk files for each app so that I can install from my PC?
Any help is would be awesome!!!
Thank you!

Install Astro file manager on your phone and install the Goflex Access app. Make a backup of the Goflex Access app using Astro. Transfer the backup apk to your tablet and double tap it to install.
Make sure you have ticked "allow "Unknown Source" in Settings> Security > Device Administration on your ICS tablet first (different location in Honeycomb).

what is going on with this app?
I just noticed that it is still saving my password on my Android 2.2 phone after I log out, so when I go to log back in my username AND password are pre-filled.
This is definitely unacceptable when someone can now upload files to the drive in my home if they find my phone and someone's idea of a prank could see me doing jail time! Call me paranoid, but I have read about people having SWAT kicking down their door because they didn't secure their wi-fi.
I am pretty sure it is not my android device settings as the Hipserv app doesn't do that on the same phone (the other fields are pre-filled but NOT the password) and It also works OK on my Android 4.0 tablet.

Guys, give "Buzzplayer" a go from the app store, it's £1.99 (or $1.99). Not the prettiest of apps but plays all of my video with the added bonus of doing so without the need for your PC/laptop to be on (previously I was using AirVideoServer).
Not sure if its on other marketplaces.

Are you using the log out button, or just closing the app to log out?
Cheers,
Roby!

Hi Roby b
I use the log out button (I wouldn't call closing the app logging out, but fair enough to check). I reinstalled the app just to check this and it is still keeping the password.
AsI said, it doesn't do it on the same phone with the Hipserv app or the same app on my Android 4.0 tablet, but with the Seagate app on Android 2.2 the password is prefilled on the login screen. (Samsung Galaxy S)
Even force stopping the app after logging out (by pressing the log out button) doesn't stop it keeping the password. I have to go to settings and clear data but then all the fields are cleared.

Hi I just got GoFlex Home 3TB, I wanted to view and watch my media files using my android phone, but I cant seem to find apps in google play. I did try searching using google, and I found one on https://play.google.com , but when I try to install the Segate GoFlex Access App it says my device its not supported.. Is Samsung Galaxy Ace really not supported? I also tried it to my Kyros MID7010 and not supported as well. How can this be, I thought any android devices can view or stream videos from GoFlex Home, that is the reason I bought it... Any feedback or workaround that I can do? Thanks in advance

Yes, I found the same issue when I tried to install to a Huawei Ideos and Acer Iconia A200. I already had it installed on my Samsung Galaxy S and Acer Iconia A500 tab. I don't think it is not compatible, it is just the way it has been set up in the market/Play.
The Acer A500 and the A200 are basically the same harware, running Android 4.0 except the A200 doesn't have a rear facing camera or HDMI out which should not matter for the Goflex Access app.
I have used a workaround for other apps which Google Play says are not compatible and they have worked fine.
The workaround is to find someone who has a compatible device and get them to install the app. Then they use Astro File Manager to make a backup and send you the apk file. You install by double tapping the apk file, but you must allow install from 3rd party sources in settings. Of course this will only work for free apps like Goflex.
If you install successfully, let me know how the log out security works for you. http://forums.seagate.com/t5/GoFlex-Net-GoFlex-Hom
I use the Hipserv app instead on my Samsung Galaxy, because of this issue.
cheers

Hello,
is it possible to implement a function which allows multiple Uploads (Photos...)?
Why does the "Open in" funcionality not supported?
