Re: GoFlex Access Android and iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch apps now available

Any plans for the software of the iPad being able to recognize / play Apple Lossless (M4A) files?  When I attempt to play them now I get an error message.

Re: GoFlex Access Android and iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch apps now available

Hi.
I bought a 2TB GoFlex Home today after finding your GoFlrex Access iPhone/iPad software. I bought it mainly to be able to listen to music over 3G network without having to have my pc on all the time.

It works, but not very well. It seems you haven't implemented any buffer function at all, it stops and starts every track repeatedly... It's not really useful at all in the current state.
Works fine over Wi-Fi, but not over 3G..
Also, it doesn't support multitasking either. If I quit the app, the music stops, which also is quite the deal breaker...

I'm using an iPhone 3GS and an iPad 2 with the latest iOS 4.3.3.

Is it something you might look into?
I really want this to work...

Just installed the go flex home app for my 1tb drive. For some reason the app won't let me open .ppt or or .xls files. I am using an iPad 2 and iPhone 3GS. I have tried opening the files using a browser whilst logging in over local wifi. That is the only way to open these files.

Also when you open .doc or .PDF files, any chance we can get the option to open them in other apps such as DocstoGo or goodreader? This would enable us to actually save the files on a device whilst off-site.

Many thanks in advance for any feedback and advice.

Re: GoFlex Access Android and iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch apps now available

I just got the GoFlex Home and installed the ipad and iphone app.  I have an iphone 4 and an ipad 2.  When I try to play .m4v and .m4a files on either device, I receive an error.

For m4a, I receive "common.views.videoView.unsupportedAudio"

For m4v, I receive "Unsupported video format"

both these formats play fine when I load the files onto my device using itunes.  Please help.

Re: GoFlex Access Android and iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch apps now available

I have a FreeAgent GoFlex Net and have installed the GoFlex Access app on my iPhone.  I'm having the same problem as cartmanx when logging into the GoFlex Net from my iPhone.  Specifically, what do I enter in these fields:

GoFlex Home Name:

Username:

Password:

Username should be my e-mail address and password should be my login password for Pogoplug, right?  For the GoFlex Home name, I've tried my screen name, the FreeAgent GoFlex Net name, and the Seagate portable HD name...none of these work.

HELP!!!

Re: GoFlex Access Android and iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch apps now available

Could someone host some of their files for download so we can test them?  A m4a and m4v?  When doing so, list your errors and device/os and app (goflex access or hipserv)

Thanks,

Roby!

Hi Roby,

im having the same problem as they have.

the main reason for me to buy goflex home is to access all my movies to iphone/ipad

(im using iphone4 & ipad2 both in 4.3.3) im using goflexaccess btw

but really frustrate me to find out that all my videos are not supported by the apps.

- movies (avi/divx format)

- videos i shoot from iphone (i already back up to hard drive but cannot play also)

Error Message: unsupported video format

i hope you can add some codecs to support the file format.

feel free to send me a mail.

thanks!

Re: GoFlex Access Android apps now available

The Seagate app on my Android HTC Glacier (aka MyTouch4G) phone tells me that the movies of *.avi format are unsupported. After reading user reviews on the android market, it seems that A LOT of recent reviewers state that many more video formats are not supported by the android version of the GoFlex Home app. It also seems that questions about that problem in this thread went unanswered. Are there any plans to improve the Android app to either include many video formats including *.avi, *.mkv. *.divx, etc, or to allow external mobile applications to play those files on android phones? Are there any plans to allow upload nad download of files from the android phone to the GoFlex Home drive? I am using Android OS 2.2 GoFlex Home 2Tb drive.
