Any plans for the software of the iPad being able to recognize / play Apple Lossless (M4A) files? When I attempt to play them now I get an error message.

I just got the GoFlex Home and installed the ipad and iphone app. I have an iphone 4 and an ipad 2. When I try to play .m4v and .m4a files on either device, I receive an error.
For m4a, I receive "common.views.videoView.unsupportedAudio"
For m4v, I receive "Unsupported video format"
both these formats play fine when I load the files onto my device using itunes. Please help.

I have a FreeAgent GoFlex Net and have installed the GoFlex Access app on my iPhone. I'm having the same problem as cartmanx when logging into the GoFlex Net from my iPhone. Specifically, what do I enter in these fields:
GoFlex Home Name:
Username:
Password:
Username should be my e-mail address and password should be my login password for Pogoplug, right? For the GoFlex Home name, I've tried my screen name, the FreeAgent GoFlex Net name, and the Seagate portable HD name...none of these work.
HELP!!!

Could someone host some of their files for download so we can test them? A m4a and m4v? When doing so, list your errors and device/os and app (goflex access or hipserv)
Thanks,
Roby!

Hi Roby,
im having the same problem as they have.
the main reason for me to buy goflex home is to access all my movies to iphone/ipad
(im using iphone4 & ipad2 both in 4.3.3) im using goflexaccess btw
but really frustrate me to find out that all my videos are not supported by the apps.
- movies (avi/divx format)
- videos i shoot from iphone (i already back up to hard drive but cannot play also)
Error Message: unsupported video format
i hope you can add some codecs to support the file format.
feel free to send me a mail.
thanks!
