Yes, there are such plans.  When it will happen I don't know... but it's on our roadmap.

Thanks for the quick reply and the answer to the second portion of the message. However, what about the support of the video formats such as AVI, MKV, MP4, DIVX? Without this support the app is not really useful at all.

I just wonder when seagate developers will support all video formats such as MKV, AVE, DIVX, MPEG, etc. I bought goflex home netwwork storage on 9/14. It is easy to setup and can stream all video files on my network. If seagate takes it more seriously and supports more video playback, this will become the best home network storage on market.

Installed: GoFlex Home 2Tb

Using: HTC Droid 2 app

I can see my public share folder and the files, but want to save them to the phone (ringtones, etc.)  I do not see any controls, or selections for capturing the files locally to the phone.  In my test, I only have four MP3 files...and for some reason the app skips playing the entire file and moves on to the next file before playing the entire file.

1) How do I save files on the phone?

2) Why is it in "intro" mode and only playing the first few seconds when I only selected one file to play?

I would settle for now with the basic ability of being able to listen to my songs on the go!
As it is now, when my iPhone"s screen turns off, or if I'm leaving the app to do other things, the music stops playing!
Also the way they hadle buffering is awful, the music stops and starts constantly.

I've written about this issue several times, so have others, and no clear confirmation or even a hint on an update to the app to correct these extremely basic issues.

Seeing the app on AppStore was the one and only reason I bought my GoFlex Home, and I must admit I feel very cheated. As the app is now, it should be taken down, it's not working as promised.

Forgot to mention that the same goes for HipServ on the AppStore. Multitasking is broken, only the buffeting is a bit better.

I have a Motorolla Droid 2 running android version 2.3.3 and I have issues with the GoFlex Access application authenticating. If I have been in the application before and exited it will hang on authenticating for as long as 30 minutes and never authenticate. This has occured on both 3g and wifi data networks. I will have to power cycle the phone before the app will successfully authenticate and allow me to access my data. Any fix for this or suggestion for better performance?

Hi all,

I just bought a GoFlex Home 2TB yesterday and I managed to set it up with a couple of users on my HP notebook.

But when I tried to download the Android APP for Goflex Access onto my Samsung Tab, i can't.

Android Market does not allow it and it gives me a message saying that this app is not for my country. (Malaysia)

Why is this? Product sells in my country but support software is not applicable?

How do I get around this?

One of the reasons i bought the Goflex was to use it with my tab.

Now this sucks.

Any help is much appreciated.
