Robyb, I've sent you a PM. I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks.

Is it just me? The list of upgrades don't seem that useful to me. Maybe some improvement in stability but where are the nested folders that everyone wants?

Anybody can help me out here?
Can anybody share some instructions how to solve this blank page in web access. I've tried reflashing thru USB but it also didn't fix a thing.

I have firmware 2.5.2.1:0.0.352:1.2.304 but still cannot see my GFH in iTunes.
It is successfully scanned, aggreagated and streamed from Twonky media server, and I can browse it from my Mac under the shared GFH Public etc shares. I can also see it from my DNLA Denon, and my GFH Theatre.
Why can I not see my music and movies in iTunes 'shared'?

Finally had the time. Web admin is now back and running. All seems to be back to normal. Thanks to google and 1-day linux really quick crash course. But I'm really not sure what fixed it ![]()
Here's what I looked into - init scripts, run level and httpd process. ![]()

Roby, does this fix the Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) support problem?
I have put my email address into a form saying that I'll be notified when Lion and Seagate play well together. Am I supposed to sit around for days and weeks and months waiting for an email from Seagate that the problem has finally been fixed? Can you or someone else from Seagate at least respond with some sort of estimate as to how long I'm supposed to wait?
I have two Mac computers, a laptop and an iMac. Since upgrading to Lion, neither of my computers can now access their GoFlex Time Machine backups. This is more critical now that the iMac had to be taken in to the Apple Store for work requiring the hard drive to be erased.
Seagate SUPPLIES hard drives to Apple. You would think that a company of such sophistication would have realized that one of the most important operating systems in the world was undergoing an upgrade, and would ensure that all of its own devices would work with the upgrade. Lion has been in beta for months and months now. It is totally inexcusable that Seagate dropped the ball on this.
It is also totally inexcusable that Seagate didn't at least send an email to its registered customers like me warning them that Lion would or might be incompatible with Seagate's backup "solution."

My drive says that it is up-to-date, but I have not done an upgrade in a while. How do I find out which version I have?

this fixed my system files, and i was then able to apply the update.

and regarding the blank page after the firmware update, there seems to be a bug with the authentication script in the new firmware when trying to access the drive directly by ip.
to workaround this, just call up:
seagateshare.com and login from the seagate site (instead of calling your drive directly by its ip).
it will pass an authentication to the drive and you should be again to gain access to the drive.
