I am pretty sure that this has been answered but for the life of me I cannot find a post any where.
So I have a GoFlex Home 1TB NAS and I have a 3 TB external hard drive which is currently attached to my PC. I want to attach the external drive to the USB port on the NAS. My understanding is that if I attach it to the NAS I need to format it in MBR but I will lose approximately 700 GB. It is currently formatted in GPT which the NAS cannot see.
Is there anyway to get the NAS to see the whole drive, maybe a firmware upgrade? Not sure how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
