The product key is printed on the underside of the base unit.

Solved. The TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service was not set to run automatically. I enabled it to automatic and started it and can now map the drives. Thanks for sticking with me on this. Sorry it was so obvious and I missed it the several times I reviewed the services.

Hi! Could you tell us how you did that? I have a similar issue, I see the public folder but not the other two ones, maybe that helps. Thank you!

In Win 7 type services.msc into the search.
In XP you need to tick Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP in control panel> network connections> LAN> properties
Not sure why it would get stopped/disabled in the first place though.

Thank you for your answer, it seems to be ok. I sent the tech support an e-mail.

Yes, I didn't think it was the same issue if you can see the Public folder.
Where are you not seeing the other folders?
Have a look at the attached screenshot. Do they show up under Network and just the drive mappings are not showing or they don't show at all when you expand the Goflex_Home?

Thanks. Ok, I don't see those drives in My PC. Here's a pic of what I see.

That is strange. Maybe you could reflash the firmware.
The instructions are here http://support.goflexhome.hipserv.com/en/reflash/i

Thank you, I'll give that a try after the weekend.

After 10 days of frustration and following all the various suggestions on the Seagate support site and some of the suggestions on the forums, I finally was able to get my new GoFlex Home Network Storage System to talk to my router. I reflashed the GoFlex base with the most recent firmware following the instructions on the support site. Was ready to take it back tomorrow, but now all the work and fortitude has paid off. I wish Seagate would make this an easier task.
