So everyone after hours and hours and hours... And hours of time and research. I found that there are several things that slow down this device. If you have any questions, I will try and answer them as soon as I can. Was able to have a download speed of around 40-50MB/s and an upload of around 15MB/s. Here is your checklist.
1. Windows firewall: If you type "msconfig" And disable the "windows firewall" under services this will insure there is nothing reducing your flow of traffic.
2.Router Configuration: Somewhere in your netword status there will be your goflex IP address. Make sure you enable DMZ in your firewall settings to insure that your Goflex is not being monitored by your router.
3. Network Duplexing: This was by far the hardest thing to find out that the device cannot handle. I was getting an average of 270KB/s upload to my goflex even via FTP. To ensure it was not window, I loaded up Linux. STILL Same results! So then I found an option under my Nvidia network settings for "Duplexing". The Goflex would not handle 100MB/s full duplexing. As soon as I Switched to 100MB/s half duplexing I was able to get the 15MB/s Upload and 40-50MB/s download. I know a lot of drivers do not support the duplex setting, but I hope this saves some of you some time! I was almost about to just throw my Goflex away and keep the harddrive...
