GoFlex Net & GoFlex Home

Hi

I have recently purchased Goflex Home Network storage. The setup is unable to detect the drive. I have tried all possible things i.e..  As per the troubleshooting guide the lights etc are fine. I have also done a factory reset of the firmware in the drive. I am out of wits and patience to solve this problem. I tried it on a machine with XP and win 7. Nothing seems to be working for me. I tried to install it directly without the CD through the link "//goflex_home" but the link is not opening.

 Somebody please HELP!

Check your firewall is not blocking network access to the drive.

You should be able to connect to the web interface with //goflex_home/

Before trying httpd or samba services, I suggest you verify that the GoFlex Home is getting an ip from your router and that it is pingable.  Definitely step 1.

OP did say that the lights are fine as per the troubleshooting guide, which suggests that the GFH is connecting to the router correctly.

Can't hurt to check though.
