Does the Panasonic Vierra series TV only allow you to connect to the network with DLNA?

Cannot browse the network drives? Maybe you need a USB drive or a media player.

I have a Kaiser Baas media player connected to my TV with HDMI. I can stream dlna or browse network file system.

(Also does RSS and Bit torrents)

TV as a DLNA support.

TV has its own media player. Usb reading the same file. DLNA is there a picture but no subtitle .. Connecting GoFlex Home to your usb tv can not afford to just have an ethernet input. I bought the product to gain access to all the aids from .. when there is only one USB device ...

TV as GoFlex Home, GoFlex Home sees it as UPnP. UPnP on the modem and media shares open ..

Sorry for Speech disorder. I get support from google translate ...

I do not know what more I can tell you.

Minidlna version 1.0.23 - Released 23-Jan-2012  Adds subtitle support for Panasonic TV's.

Goflex Home has version 1.0.22

If you wait for Seagate to update you will wait a long time. You can try updating it yourself or You could try sending a private message on this forum to robyb from Axentra.com/. (Axentra is the company that makes the Goflex Home firmware - not seagate).

I think this is a problem having a media player built into a TV. If it doesn't do what you want it is too expensive to replace the TV. Why doesn't the Panasonic TV let you browse your home network like most network media players?

Media players are cheap.  I also have a Seagate GoflexTV media player but I didn't like it , so I replaced it.

I tried to connect with ssh client. I connect as root, but I want my password. Where can I find the password?

Log in using a user name in the form

<account_name>_hipserv2_seagateplug_<productkey>

where <account_name> is the administrator user (first user name you set up when you first got your GF Home) and <product_key> is the PK key that's on the bottom of your GH Home base unit.

Use the password of that administrator user name.

If you need root access, use sudo -s then enter the same administrator user's password you used to log in.
