Hello all
I read a lot of topics in the forum but I didn´t find a solution to the cases like my.
My GoFlex Network Drive is attached to my wireless router and I can ping and access through \\GOFLEX IP,using the Seagate Datashboard or borwser.
In all cases is possible to see there is a lot of data in my device - like you can see in the attached file but when I try to access it there are any files or folders available.
I have two users in the system but any of then have access.
I like to know how to access or recovery my files from the GoFlex?
Thanks a lot and regards,

Have you tried resetting the drive to see if you can then access the data again?
To do so, please press a paper clip into the pinhole that's located on the side of the base and hold it for 10 seconds. Once it's been released for a few minutes, the LED lights on the front of the device should be a solid green and solid white.
The drive should be accessible at this point. Please recreate your user accounts exactly the way they had been set up initially.

I had a similar problem. GFH (STAM3000100) reported my folders as empty so I restarted (unplug and replug) the drive. I could see the files but when I tried to copy them to another drive the process was interrupted before copying the first file and then the folder was reported as empty. I repeated this process several times with the same results. I found several posts with similar problems but no resolution. When I found this post, I had high hopes. I reset the base per instructions above and the unit now shows completely empty (not even the folder names from before). However, the dashboard still shows 974 GB used, which must be my files. How can I retrieve these files?

AskTheLeaf, thank you for yours tips but I did the reset and create the users again but same situation.
The data still at disk (thanks gosh) but it is inaccessible.
Is there another way to restore these informations?
Thanks in advance and best regards

At this point the issue here could be caused either by user corruption or drive corruption. To narrow this down and find out which, please create a test user account that you then try to access.

AskTheLeaf,
I created a test account but receiving the same error "You need permission to perform this action" when try to copy a file to the device.
Remember that the Seagate Dashboard display that there is a lot of data in the disk but I cannot access this.

Hi Grung3,
I noticed that in the screenshot you attached to your original post that the Public folder is not shown. That is probably where all your files are.
Access to the Public folder is set in Seagate Share Preferences Administration (you need to log in with an administrator account - you must have one)
Under Edit User there is a checkbox for Let user access family folder
I think that might be the source of your problems - you are not logging in to the Goflex Home with an administrator account
