OK, so I've just bought a goflex home 2TB.
Have just been through the entire configuration process for setting it up without using the built-in software - as per the "GoFlex Home - Installing Without Dashboard [218551]" process.
It all completed successfully.
However, when I try to login to the device, it simply doesn't work - it just reverts to the blank login page after I type in my username & password.
I know my username and password are correct, because Windows asks me for them when trying to access the device's files within Explorer - and that all works fine.
I am really annoyed that I can't get past the login page! I really don't want to have to return this thing because it's so useless from the get-go.
If anybody can help that would be much appreciated.
Yes, I have already tried resetting the device and going through the entire configuration process again. The login page still doesn't work after doing all this again.
Thanks!

I have exactly the same problem. Hope someone comes up with a solution or I'll have to return mine for a refund.
The setup process is awful:
- It insists on its own standards for password complexity - I don't want to include a digit in a password on my home network.
- It insists on an email address. Why is this needed to use a disk on a home network?
Not everyone wants the "pro" features or the ability to access a home drive over the Internet.

OK, no response from Seagate Support.
If this thing is so badly designed that I can't even get into it straight after supposedly setting it up, then clearly it is a piece of **bleep**. Time for a refund. What a thoroughly disappointing product, Seagate! I will have to try a different brand instead.

Completely agree.
After receiving no reponse to my email support request, and seeing that you had no response to this post, I returned mine today for a full refund.
Good luck!

Yep, I will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid this brand.
Such an immature and poorly supported product should never have been released to the public.
I am not their bloody beta tester, I am a full-price paying customer who expects this thing to work!
SHAME ON YOU SEAGATE!

So Big Bug here...but it appears to be related to the IE browser. Not sure what the fix is. I can login fine with FireFox from multiple boxes but IE does not work on any of them.
Try Firefox... it should work
