My GoFlex 2T is getting overheat.

Hi i have a FreeAgent Goflex Desk 2T device.
and recently i've noticed it's getting very very hot, and also that it isn't connecting to the PC though it's connected to the power and to the router.

What should i do in that case, and why it's getting so hot?

Please help me!

Sincerely Yours,

Ron.

It's connected to a router?  Could you please post the serial number?

Could you please run SeaTools for Windows and tell us what the temperature of the drive is?

OK, could you please private message me the serial number?

And how hot is it?  Can you touch it?  How hot is it in the room where the drive is?

Re: My GoFlex 2T is getting overheat.

37 C is pretty warm for a computer room.

I am not surprised the drive is as warm as you've said.

If you want to cool the drive down, you need to bring down the temperature in that room and/or get some air flowing over that unit.

(And by the way, you have a GoFlex Home, not a GoFlex Desk.)
