MySync validation fail

I purchased SeagateShare Pro, downloaded and installed MySync client.

When I try to log in to my GoFlex Home unit with MySync I get the following error message

"Error validating credetials.  Unable to creaye MySync folder on the GoFlex Home device"

I have no problem logging in to the device through the browser interface, so I know that the username and password and other required fields is correct.

I have tried on two seperate windows machines, one XP and one Windows 7, I have tried as regular user and as administrator.

Any ideas how I can resolve this error message and get MySync to work.

Re: MySync validation fail

My login used to work but now does not.  I checked my ports and found that all 4 are closed.  How do I open a port so that my computer will login and sync?

Re: MySync validation fail

I get the following error after I installed MySync on a Windows7 machine that is not on the same LAN as my GoFlex hard drive:

"The device may not be correct or there may be a problem with connecting to your media server. Please try again."

Port forward testing showed that ports 22, 443 are open, but the port 80 is closed.

http://support.goflexhome.hipserv.com/en/router/testportforward.html

All attempts to open port 80 via manually configuring my router (Netgear WNDR3300) to open port 80 kept giving me a port conflict error message, meaning that the router has already opened port 80 for some other IP on my LAN. I can't figure which IP on my LAN is using port 80 and I can't figure out how to remove that IP from using port 80.

The strange thing is that MySync works good on a Mac laptop when I am at home in my LAN. I'm not sure how it would behave if I was off the LAN.

Any suggestions?
