PS3 and Go Flex Home

Hello everybody!,

I'm having problems with my PS3 and my Go Flex Home 1TB. I set up all according with this tutorial: http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=215831&NewLang=en#ps3

In the first day all works perfectly, but today i turn on my ps3 (and my external drive, obviously) and all the folders were empty.

I don't know what i am doing wrong. Could you please help me to resolve this problem?

Thanks

Regards, Juan

Hi , I had same problem i found out that by turning off the UPnP option in your GoFlex Home preferences will fix the problem for all the files in the public folder turn it off and save changes wait  1 minute and go to your PS3 and see if they show up, hope it helps

x it Re: PS3 and Go Flex Home

Nop, i can`t fix it. The only solution that i founded is to click in Seagate Share the option "share to media devices", but i have to do it all times that my PS3 couldn`t see the media.

Re: PS3 and Go Flex Home

I was having some real trouble with my PS3, the drive worked faultlessly for the first few months then I started to notice that folders were slowly disappearing. But only on the PS3, though my PC everything looked normal.

The situation got so bad it was almost unuseable as the films and tv I had backed up which I wanted to watch weren't visible.

After much trawlin gof the internet I found the following link:

http://support.goflexhome.hipserv.com/en/reflash/index.html (i picked the most basic firmware).

What is great you dont need to transfer the data off the drive, and your data isnt lost.

Drop the firmware to the most basic version here, give the drive an hour to reform the indexes of the items stored and it should be fine.

I have only had the PS3 and goflex home 1TB running for a few hours since the firmware downgrade but it all looks fine once again.

Good luck :smileyhappy:

Re: PS3 and Go Flex Home

Do I need to keep it at the lowest firmware? I can never update the firmware otherwise I will have the problem again?
