Print server

BHelo guys;

Did anyone succeeded connecting an HP1018 to the USB port of the GoFlex Home? Did it, looks like fine, can map it to my computer but nothing prints out.

Re: Print server

Hi Armopop,

Can you describe all the steps you took to connect your printer, and any messages that popped up.  We'll try to determine what may be wrong.

Which OS are you using?

Thanks,

Roby!

Re: Print server

Hi RobyB;

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Connected the HP LaserJet 1018 USB cable to the USB port on the GoFlex Home, then tried to add new printer on windows 7 by browsing the network, mapping the GoFlex_home which is displayed as printer, installing the drivers but it never prints. Installing it as a local TCP-IP port did not do the trick also, so i don't know what's next.

Re: Print server

Seems to be correct.  Is there a different driver you can try?  I've seen where sometimes one driver won't work and another will, perhaps an updated version.

Is that the version of the driver you are using?

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the printer, go to Start -> Run -> \\<gfhip> and doubleclick the printer.  That should prompt you to install the driver, see if that works differently.

Perhaps disable firewalls for troubleshooting as well, and make sure file/printer sharing is on in your network connection settings.

Cheers,

Roby!
