Hi all,

I am disappointed with the lack of codec support throught the goflex home iphone app but have already transferred all my video files and am looking for other streaming options outside my network.

I have airplayer and it auto configures the internal network settings as

http://InternalIP:8200/rootDesc.xml  and works pretty good.

i attempted to setup the external setting as 

http://publicIP:8200/rootDesc.xml   

I opened the 8200 port as well as 21, 22, 443, and 80 as seen in other forums but have not been able to connect.

Any ideas or alternative apps ??  I use airvideo through my mac, but would like to turn this off when travelling.

I really don't want to return the drive but is useless to me if i can't stream avi files outside my home network.

I am sure I am not the only one with this issue.

I use MediaConnect and FlexPlayer on my iphone to view all video content on mt iPhone from the GoFlex Home drives.

Can you use media connect remotely (3G and outside wifi networks?  And if so how do yuo set it up?

Any help?? I have tried FTP with good player. Very slow. Seems like nothing works.

what do you mean slow?

alot of my hd videos at at lease 20 mbps. My Canon camera records video at 49Mbps.

That being said, your upload band width from your home IPS needs to be at lease that for streaming video out.

i have done a IP camera at 1 Mbps. but it was not the nicest video.

what is your upload band width?

Easy fix... use your own app.  We've provided our full API, the same one we used to make the "HipPlay" and "GoFlex Access" app.  Make a better one!

Just kidding, I have a question about Hipserv Premium pack. There doesn't seem to be any way to buy it from the Axentra site and I'd like to try the USB backup utility and the Hipserv Nomad USB key.

The Seagate Share Pro doesn't mention them, do you know if they are included?
