Seagate 1Tb Goflex Home

I just bought a new Goflex Home 1Tb.

Can i connect it directly to my PC via an ethernet cable (the transfer speeds are too low and i need to transfer 1 Tb of data to it.

I want a step by step guide to stting up direct ethernet connectivity to the PC. and not through the router.

I tried connecting it,  but i guess it wont work like that (something to do with DHCP)

Thanks:smileyhappy:

Re: Seagate 1Tb Goflex Home

Yes you can connect it directly to your PC with the ethernet cable. I haven't used it like that for a while so I can't give you a step-by- step, but I can definitely confirm it works.

first just connect it and reboot the goflex home and / or your PC and the network should auto-configure.

If that doesn't work try resetting the goflex home by pressing the reset button through the little hole in the side while it is connected to the PC.
