Seagate Back-Up Taking for Ever (3 days!) Is that right?

I had my Seagate drive connected to my 500GB Mac Book Pro (10.7.4) and after three days, the data was not totally back-up. Either I am doing something wrong. Or there is something very wrong with the SeaGate Drive.

It took my 1 TB Segate GoFlex Home months to back up my 500GB of music files. I'm not kidding.  I left my computer on for months and watched it slowly crawl through creating the backup.  I only let it keep going because it became such a joke I couldn't believe it..  Support didn't answer half my questions and only suggested that I delete my back up plan (but wouldn't tell me if that meant I had to start the back up over again).

Same thing here. 36 hours into backup and it had done 800M of 300G of data. I cancelled. I'll probably try a different backup program.

For the sake of your own health and sanity, if your data is important to you, keep a second copy on another storage (a backup)
