Slow transfer speed, and a few other issues.

Hi all

I just bought the 2tb version after an accident with my old buffalo linkstation, got it up and running in no time but it's just going downhill from there....

1/ 2.3MB transfer speed, is this deemed as normal/acceptable or am i doing something wrong?

2/ connected fine via the android app but says "video format not supported" when i try an avi, yet these avi's play on every other device i have?

3/ i'm about to try sharing media on the PS3, i already read there are some potential issues..i really hope i don't find a problem too unles this isn't going to bode well.

ty for that

I'm starting to get annoyed now....

Transferring large folders from a 32bit 7 machine i can achieve anywhere between 4MB and 8MB now after uninstalling all the seagate and memeo software and mapping drive, but they cut out half way through...........get a retry or skip option in windows.

I have an unanswered support email and support looks pretty bad. This could well end up being sent back and i'll buy another buffalo if i can't get any sort of answers here.

Now i am starting to believe what i read all over the internet about the seagate brand having gone terrible over the last couple of years. Time will tell if this is correct i guess.

Is this the latest firmware on my drive too? (attachment jpeg)

I don't think it is and the software update says it is up to date.
