Two GoFlex Homes on one router?

So i have two 3 TB GoFlex Homes hooked up on the same router

But the system only recognizes one at a time

and the one that is recognized must be turned off in order for the system to recognize the other one

Whats the deal?

Can you not have two hooked up on the same system?

Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Yes! Right now they have the same name, same age, same social insurance number and they are identical twins :smileyhappy: Note, this unofficial self-serve update doesn't resolve all issues. You will need to disable remote access on one of your GoFlex Homes and make one available externally only. Cheers, Roby!

Yes, but you lose the ability to use HipServ features remotely, such as MySync, logging in via SeagateShare.com, HipServ Nomad or the web interface.  You're more of a super-user whose specific needs are met by forwarding appropriate ports :smileywink:

Re: Two GoFlex Homes on one router?

I'm added a four soon, running out of room here.

Last dayt, I was shooting picture at a charity event. It does not take long to shhot a gigabyte of picture, not to mention hd video.

Roby, thank you for the great help here.

By the way. I know all the source code comes from 'my drive' when peole look at my picutre. The biggest slowdown is the loading of the flash program.

Is there any way in the HTML, we can load it from a 'common' faster server that all people can use?

You won't be able to use the dashboard to view/control multiple devices, even after using the self-serve update posted above.  The dashboard was designed to operate one GoFlex Home on a single LAN.

Roby!

Re: Two GoFlex Homes on one router?

Cool, but from the other computers ill be able to access both? and is it possible to set one up to automatically back up the other? Im using it for pictures and i just want them to be duplicates of each other without having to save everything twice
