Does anyone know, when Windows 8 will be supported e.g. Dashboard?

So the Dashboard software for the Goflex Slim and Goflex Pro external drives also works with the Goflex Home network drive?

Who would have expected that? Still, no-one's posted back complaining so it must be fine.

No one must have downloaded it because the GoFlex Home dashboard uses Axentra services, only the GoFlex Home dashboard will work.  Maybe it was just a mistake when posting the link.

Thanks robyb. I didn't really think the Goflex slim dashboard would work with the Goflex Home, I was just being a smartass.

I was surprised that after whining about Goflex Home dashboard not being Windows 8 compatible, no-one actually tried the fix posted by a Seagate Moderator.

It's actually worked as STX_Monk suggested. I've tried it with my GoFlex_Home .

Well now I just feel silly

Curiosity got the better of me. I installed it (Win 8 Pro) and it detected my Goflex Home, plugged in a Goflex Ultra-portable and it popped up another dashboard window for that too. One size fits all!

but I am getting the following message when I try to do instant backup through Seageate Dashboard:

Operating system not supported    Memeo Launcher cannot be run under this version of Windows

I have a 2T FreeAgent Goflex external drive and am running Windows 8

Any suggestions?

I admit I didn't get as far as trying to do a backup. Dashboard recognized my drives in Win 8, so I thought that was good enough.

I don't use dashboard or Memeo. Windows 8 File History is much better than Memeo, so my suggestion is not to use Memeo or the Dashboard launcher.

To back up to network drives I think you need Window 8 Pro version, but for an external drive, no problem.
