You didn't say which model number of BluRay player? Does it have a DLNA / UPnP client?

The user manual for your EX720 says it has a DLNA UPnP-AV client, so this should be able to stream videos and music from your GF Home.

Are you sure that your GF Home is making videos, music and photos available on its DLNA service?   Have you got Windows Media Player 12 on your PC?  If so, look  under "Other Libraries". Can you see "Goflex Home:UPNP-AV" ?  Can you see and play videos, music and photos from this library?

Where are your videos, music and photos on your GF Home?  Are they in the "public" folder?  If they are in your "personal" folder then try using the Seagate Dashboard to create a share for a video.  The share must have "share with media devices" ticked so that the video is added to the DLNA service.   If the videos, music and photos are in the "public" folder they should appear in DLNA automatically.

Try restarting your GF Home. This should make it refresh its DLNA list .  If you have many video, music and photo files then this refresh may take several minutes to complete.

Even if your GF Home's DLNA service is working, sometimes there are small differences with DLNA on other devices like TVs which can cause problems.  The GF Home uses software called miniDLNA.  You could try an internet search for miniDLNA and EX720 to see if anyone has found problems with your TV.   What types of video file do you want to play on your TV?  miniDLNA doesn't do transcoding so some types of video may not work on your TV.

Hi,  it's probably difficult to give you precise help unless someone on this forum has the same TV or blu-ray player.

As I wrote earlier, the user guide for your TV says it can receive streaming media using DLNA, and your GF Home can server streaming media.  So I think it should work but if you search on the internet you will find there are sometimes problems with DLNA and different manufacturers.

I don't think you need to do a factory reset on your GF Home.  If you turn it off and on it will refresh it's DLNA database.  But maybe you need to try setting up at least one share on Seagate Dashboard  with "share with media devices" selected, to make sure that DLNA is started up.
