AirPlay

To Seagate: Please try to "provide an AirPlay output device picker" for the iOS app (http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/AudioVideo/Conceptual/AirPlayGuide/Introductio... People with AppleTV2 could redirect the stream wirelessly from the app to a HDTV but the app needs to do full screen or it will be useless for movies.

Re: AirPlay

I agree completely.

This can also be solved by allowing the native video player to be used within the app.

The way it is at the moment is that the only way to play on the HDTV is to plug in HDMI and have the drive stream through the web interface.

This finishes the battery completely after 1 movie, and is not really wirelessly.

Please provide this functionality it will just make the satellite a killer accessory to own.

AirPlay is doable and works great if you work it.

The native GoFlex iPad app does NOT support airplay. The button is there but audio is carried but not video. I did see one post on here that said to use mirroring which does work but the video is blah.

Just browse to 172.25.0.1 (or whatever IP your GoFlex serves up) in safari and Bob's your uncle. Browse to your media file and Safari will Airplay to your AppleTV like a champ. I would assume any other DLNA app could also do the same thing but I haven't tried yet as I just go my Satellite a couple hours ago.

Just make sure you put your AppleTV on the same SSID and away you go. No other access point or Airport required. I plan on taking my GoFlex Satellite and my AppleTV with a HDMI cable with me to Disney :smileywink: ºoº

One more note, when not using Airplay the native app is much faster browsing your content. This is a great work around to get Airplay working until a formal solution is in the works.
