If you are using accounting software, it is probably not a good fit for you. The ONLY way to get files onto the device is by USB. You can not add files over the WiFi network. Also, the files can not be edited, saved or anything from any application over the WiFi network. Only when connected to 1 computer via USB. Also, you are limited to 3 devices logged onto the GoFlex Sattelite device at a time, and each device logged onto the device must be set to the GoFlex's WiFi network SSID, and can not pass through to the internet, etc.

can you tell me one more thing. can i use it as an ordinary external hard disk by using usb. a friend has suggested me to buy a ethernet to usb nas adapter and plug it to my Satellite device and Router. that way i can acess Satellite as a nas device and do my accounting. please suggest. also he says to check if any wi fi dongle can be connected to that adapter which could make it really wireless nas.
thank you

I am familiar with such thoughts. I finished them by buying a Synology DS110J as a solution. Happy with it so far.
But yes, you can use GF SAt as usual USB HDD in combination with any NAS and/or Router,.. but you could find many cheaper ones for that :-)
