Suddenly Goflex Satellite not turning to blue light anymore

I bought my Seagate Goflex Satellite a long time ago, but just started using it. First time I bought it, I tested it and it worked. Last weekend I went on a trip and filled it up with movies and tested it again it worked. Updated the firmware and tested it again and it worked. Got to my hotelroom and connected it and started watching movies. No worries there. But the next time my wifi did not turn on. So there was no blue light, just green light. Everytime I start the goflex up again it just turns into two green lights. No wifi there. At home I did the firmware update again, but no changes there. So what can I do to make my goflex turn on the wifi again? I'm little bit lost here...

Any answer that points me in the right direction is appreciated!

I have an idea, but don't know if it can help.

As the wifi is not available when connected to USB, maybe you can try to disconnect the USB cable and maybe also the adapter.

Hope it can help.

Thanks for your reply, but I don't have a cable connected, not the USB nor the adapter...

The blue light only switches on / starts blinking when there's data being streamed to / from it. Are you sure you are connected to your drive? In other words, your laptop shows that you're connected to the wireless network with the said you assigned to the drive?

Re: Suddenly Goflex Satellite not turning to blue light anymore

Have you tried this? Using a paperclip, press and release the factory defaults button. The factory defaults button is located on the bottom of the GoFlex Satellite device, as shown in Figure 2 on page 4, of the User Manual (little hole next to label on bottom). The Satellite Name is changed back to “GoFlex Satellite” and any password you may have set is erased.
